Course Description

UKATA Asbestos Awareness

This course has been developed and designed to give instruction on the hazards and dangers involved with asbestos and is intended for all persons working in areas where asbestos materials may be located.

This course will provide operatives and employers with a general understanding of asbestos containing materials.

Delegates will also have an understanding of the correct reporting and management systems to be in place when working in areas where asbestos may be present.

Aims

  • To give you an overall history of asbestos and it’s uses
  • Inform you of the types of asbestos you may encounter
  • Highlight where you may contact asbestos and what steps to take if you encounter ACMs


Objectives
