The Site

We worked for the client Scotch Malt Whisky Society on the internal refurbishment of their member’s club in Greville Street, London.

We were engaged as the Principal Designer (PD) for the contract, overseeing the planning phase and the general health and safety on-site during the works.

Our Scope

We were appointed as the CDM Principal Designer (PD) for the project. Our roles included checking the Principal Contractor’s Construction Phase Plan (CPP) and reviewing the Risk

Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) and the asbestos removal Plan of Works.

Throughout the project’s period, we carried out monthly audits, which started with the CDM compliance audit and continued with the monthly safety compliance audit.

  • Produce the Pre-Construction Information
  • Review and approve the Risk Assessments and Method Statement and issue a report
  • Carry out the pre-start CDM audit and issue a report
  • Carry out monthly site audits and issue a report on the progress
  • Carry out the completion site audit and issue a report
  • Ensure the completion of the Health & Safety File
