CDM Advice

CDM Advice

Perses CDM supports commercial clients in establishing proportionate and effective arrangements for managing projects under CDM 2015.

Our advisory service is suitable where Perses is not appointed as Principal Designer, but the client requires independent guidance, additional resources or assurance that its duties are being properly addressed.

Our services include:

  • advising clients on their duties and responsibilities;
  • reviewing dutyholder appointments and project governance;
  • assisting with the assessment of competence and organisational capability;
  • preparing or reviewing pre-construction information;
  • advising on project notification requirements;
  • reviewing construction phase plans and health and safety files;
  • undertaking CDM compliance reviews and audits;
  • monitoring the performance of appointed dutyholders; and
  • maintaining clear records demonstrating the client’s arrangements and decisions.

Commercial client duties begin during the earliest planning stages of a project and include making suitable arrangements for managing the work, appointing appropriate dutyholders and ensuring that sufficient time and resources are provided.
